Yanshan University (YSU) signed a cooperation agreement with Brazil’s Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT), marking the beginning of friendly cooperation between the two sides. This is another example of successful international exchanges between YSU and its counterparts in South America, after the collaboration programs concluded with three other Brazilian universities, Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and Universidade Federal de Santa Maria.
According to the agreement, Yanshan University and Universidade Federal do Tocantins will strengthen their interactions in fields such as teacher-student exchanges and scientific research cooperation. With the continuous deepening of economic and trade relations and cultural exchanges between China and Brazil, Yanshan University, as the practitioner and beneficiary of international education cooperation, will take this opportunity to further improve its level of open schooling, support China’s overall diplomacy, and promote local economic development.
Established in 2000, Universidade Federal do Tocantins is located in Tocantins, central Brazil and has seven campuses across the State of Tocantins. Every campus has professional laboratories, libraries, auditoriums, classrooms, and social spaces. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including 50 undergraduate programs, 31 master’s programs, and 6 doctoral programs available to students.
