Recently, YSU signed a collaborative agreement with Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), the second partner university we have got in Africa after the University of Ibadan. The signing of the agreement has further reinforced our ties with Africa.

According to the agreement, YSU will work together with BIUST to apply for the establishment of the Confucius Institute and promote teacher & student exchanges, joint training of talents and cooperation in scientific research. YSU will take this opportunity to step up exchanges and cooperation with its counterparts in Africa and continuously improve its global cooperation network.
Located in Palapye, a city in eastern Botswana, BIUST offers innovative, extensive and quality education and it is actually a cradle of future leaders for various industries in the country. As the only research-intensive university specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) in Botswana, BIUST will continue to focus on scientific research and innovation and strive to become an internationally competitive university in science and technology.
