[YSU News Center] Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) issued a notice on the projects to be funded by the Program of Dispatching Experts and Scholars to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus for Short-term Exchange, according to which, 7 out of the 11 projects submitted for application by Yanshan University (YSU) were approved, with an acceptance rate up to 64%. The Program aims to promote the exchange and cooperation between China and Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in the field of science and technology. As its implementer, CSC is responsible for singling proper experts and scholars out for exchanges of no more than three months in the three countries in accordance with relevant research needs and plans.
In recent years, under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, YSU has given full play to its own advantages and made positive efforts in beefing up cooperation and exchanges with colleges, universities and research institutes from countries along the Belt and Road routes. Meanwhile, it has made the best of publicly-funded platforms for overseas study in the country to cultivate international talents, set up new platforms for international scientific research and cooperation, and continuously expand the ways for its students and teachers to interact with high-level universities around the world.
The application for the 2021 Program of Dispatching Experts and Scholars to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus for Short-term Exchange will start in the school in a few days.
